The Portuguese Space Agency will be in Japan from 5 to 8 August to promote Portugal’s national ecosystem of science, technology and innovation. From 5 to 7 August, the Agency will be present at the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, showcasing the “Space Dive” exhibition — an immersive journey that connects space science and ocean exploration, with a focus on sustainability and international cooperation.
On 8 August, in Tokyo, the Agency will participate in the Economic Forum “Portugal's Role in the Future of Aerospace and Defence in Europe”, organised by AICEP and the Embassy of Portugal in Japan. The event brings together Portuguese organisations and strategic Japanese partners from the space and defence sectors, with the participation of JAXA, Tekever, EID, Newspace Portugal, and the Executive Director of the Portuguese Space Agency, Hugo André Costa.
This initiative aims to enhance Portugal’s international profile in the space sector and foster new scientific and economic cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
Portugal’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka is organised by AICEP – the Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency.
