By 6 August, the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka had welcomed 1.2 million visitors, accounting for 8% of the total attendance at the world exhibition, which has reached around 15 million visitors.
Since the opening of the Expo on April 13, the Portuguese Pavilion has stood out as one of the most visited and recognised spaces, having already surpassed 900,000 visitors in the first three months.

Under the theme “Ocean, the Blue Dialogue”, Portugal’s presence has been marked by a vibrant and engaging programme combining culture, innovation and sustainability. The Pavilion has hosted concerts, exhibitions, immersive experiences, business meetings and economic diplomacy actions, promoting Portuguese talent and strengthening economic and cultural ties with Japan.
Portugal’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka is organised by AICEP – Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency, with the involvement of several public and private entities. The Expo runs until 13 October, with Portugal remaining one of the standout participants in this global event dedicated to the future and innovation.
